Tanker Honan Maru
Tanker Honan Maru destroyed by USS Bluegill on 14 April 1945 at Doi Island near French Indo China.  Ray (Basil) Phipps said photograph "shows enemy ship torpedoed, beached, and then destroyed by demolition charges, range 700 yards."  Ray (Basil) Phipps said, "a pair of Kayser silk hose, purchased in San Francisco, and a .30 caliber machine gun, manufactured by Colt Arms Company, were found on board."  Photograph courtesy of Ray (Basil) Phipps.
